A stunning terracotta covered in gesso Ushabti dating to the Third Intermediate Period (1077 - 664 BCE) of Ancient Egypt. An impressively formed Ushabti in mummiform, wearing a tripartite headdress with arms crossed over chest. Stunning original condition with no repair. A beautiful votive statuette, these figures acted as accompaniment into the afterlife, as servants for the deceased. Standing on contemporary painted wood stand
