Insanely beautiful and unusual technique of cutting and removing paint once applied. When looking closely, you can see hundreds of knife (or sharp object) marks across the wooden surface, which partially removed sections of the black paint, and reveals the wood underneath.
Very Unusual artwork by Max de Carrier (born 1949). Painting is signed at lower right (black on black paint). No info on verso. Unknown date; possibly 1980’s. Painted suprisingly very heavy wood; unsually heavy so I presume this is a found counter top.
