Done in the studio of Gillis Mostaert the Elder (1528 - 1598), this beautiful depiction of a Tooth Puller, performing in front of on lookers with a stunning cityscape in the background. Gillis Mostaert was a Flemish renaissance painter who was very highly regarded during his time, painted coveted nocturnal scenes, often with fires ablaze. Oil on board, presented in a later but beautifully complimentary 18th century frame, gilted and painted.
