Incredible grotesque head of carved stone, originating from the North Counties of England, Derbyshire. Depicting with a gaping mouth and snarling nostrils, two large eyes and a possible mane on either side of the head, likely originally carved into a church. Beautiful patina to the stone, with small bits of moss present on the top. Of powerful and impactful scale. Presented on a contemporary metal stand.
