Stunning early majolica vessel, produced in the Italian manufacturing hub of Urbino in the 17th century. Beautiful painted decoration surrounding the entirety of the vessel, with geometric design on one side and incredible depiction of two people caressing on the other. A beautiful scaled vessel, with large bulbous body yet small spout, originally used to hold or transport oil or other liquids.
