A beautiful pair of large 18th century French neoclassical tapestries, showcasing stunning imagery throughout each of the panels. On one panel, Hermes framed in the centre below a rooster and two globes. Above an arrow and staff and a centralized goat. The other, Demeter is centrally framed below a bee cage with swarming bees, atop a pair of incredibly detailed dragons and a cannon. Every piece of these contains vividly detailed imagery. Surrounded by later deep orange border fabric. Beautiful as they are detailed, amazing in scale, each at 100” high (8’4”) and 35.5” wide.
