A fragment of a much larger statue, weathered and lost to time, but the remainder of the foot and large marble base it is carved into is truly stunning. A white marble, darkened with age, showing five distinct toes, stunningly carved. A gorgeous example of early Roman statuary carving. Displayed on contemporary metal stand.
