A 14th century Portuguese stone head with an incredible story carved as features. Eyes with Maltese Crosses, the emblem of the Knight’s Templar, carved in the centre, and a crude depiction of Baphomet as the features of the face, nose and mouth.

During the inquisition, the Knight’s Templar was accused of worshipping the deity Baphomet as a way to dismantle and discredit the templar. Many members of the Templar admitted under duress and torture to the worship of Baphomet, confessions certainly coerced through suffering as there is no definitive proof of the worship of such deity. Although the modern image of Baphomet invokes thoughts of occult tradition, there are many occult scholars who view the deity as a symbol of the balance of good and evil, as well as a symbol of wisdom.
