Beautiful Celtic bronze torc neck ring with curled and wrapped terminals, displayed on velvet torso stand. Dating between the 3rd and 1st centuries BCE from Eastern Europe, this beautiful torc holds incredible patina, bronze having turned a stunning deep green. This example is in incredible condition having survived well over 2000 years. Torcs were worn as a symbol of status or authority. The celts were masters of metalwork and this piece is certainly a great example of such.
