A beautiful sickle head used by Celtic druids in a ceremonial manner in which on the sixth night after a full moon during the winter solstice, mistletoe was cut from high up an oak tree, and caught in a white sheet and offered to the gods as a symbol of peace and prosperity. The golden sickle was a symbol of the Druidic connection to the sacred oak and became prominent in imagery regarding Celtic Druid imagery.
