An incredibly rare stone plaque from the Sabaean culture of Sheba, Southern Arabia, modern day Yemen circa 5th - 3rd Century BCE. A beautiful stylized ram is depicted on the obverse of the plaque, facing left with stunning curvature to the horns. A raised tail and legs bent underneath. Incised lines scroll across the body. The reverse bears a stunning inscription of three Sabaic letters, underneath a set of four letters of another language, possibly another Arabian script.
