Fragment of a Roman breastplate depicting the personification of the Sun, or Sol. Excavated outside of Mirobriga Roman site in the south west of Portugal. Housed for many years in a local museum before being deaccessioned. Beautiful and harsh rusted iron, presented on a contemporary metal stand.
