A curved Celtic knife blade with an angled iron tang and curled pommel, circa 3rd - 1st century BCE, found in Northern England. A stunning and evocative example, having acquired an incredibly beautiful patina across the entirety of the iron blade. Used originally as a utilitarian farming tool, but quite possibly also a Druidic tool used for The Ritual of Oak and Mistletoe, tied to turning of seasons in which a white-cloaked priest would climb a sacred oak tree, cut two plants and let them fall, subsequently sacrificing two white bulls - as written about by Roman author Pliny the Elder.
