Incredible Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 AD) pictorial funerary slab depiction naturalistic representations and Buddhist iconography as signalling to lead the deceased into the afterlife. Three scenes are depicted in the upper half of the slab, the lateral frames showing a horse and a bull in a coastal landscape, with the centre frame depicting a stylized stag - richly decorated - in front of a landscape scene of mountains and foliage. The bottom portion decorated with a florid frame, typical of Buddhist art.
