A truly incredible example of Attic blackware pottery, made in Athens, Greece circa 500 BCE. A very large example, in incredible condition. A stunning bulbous form with two lug handles, one on either side. Beautiful upper half black glaze with an elegant upturn to the lip and mouth of the vessel. Originally to hold liquids or food storage, now as the most stunning flower vessel. In stunning condition, and very large at 9” in diameter.
