Era: Mid - Late 19th Century

Dimensions: 14” H x 14” W

Done by James Powell & Sons of Whitefriars glass factory in the mid to late 19th century, circa 1870-1880. By the 1880’s Powell & Sons figured prominently in the Morris & Co. showroom and worked closely with William Morris transferring his designs to glass working. A beautiful and relatively scarce example of a working cartoon, as these were often destroyed once completion of the window.
