A stunning Roman English physician’s scalpels retaining amazing patina, of wonderful compact yet still impactful scale between its long tang and single edge blade sections. Circa 1st - 3rd century AD. Used in medical setting for incisions, draining and wound care, made of fine steel. Displayed on contemporary acrylic base.
