Stunning bronze and glass sarcophagus eye mount with exceptional patina from the third intermediate period of ancient Egypt, 1070 - 664 BCE. Beautiful almond shape replicating the kohl lined makeup typical of period Egyptian style. This would be mounted atop a sarcophagus as a decorative feature, and allowing the deceased to peer outside of the sarcophagus and into the world - towards the afterlife.
